Don't Buy Burnout: Paradise… Yet!

Sometimes it’s nice to take a break from all the RPGs and action games on the Xbox 360, and enjoy playing a racing game.

Recently I got the urge to purchase the highly recommended Burnout: Paradise. I have been a huge fan of the series ever since Burnout 3 on the Xbox (original). It’s a bit more of an arcade-handling driving game compared to the likes of Project Gotham Racing and Forza Motorsport, but I prefer that. (It’s also very adrenaline-fueled and great for multiplayer!).

I was just about to buy a copy when I stumbled across something interesting in the pre-order listings. Namely, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box. For the same price as the original release (£24.99 at time or writing)!

So, what’s new with the “Ultimate Box”?

• An enhanced and improved version of Burnout Paradise.
• New vehicles including motorbikes.
• New game modes and challenges
• All new offline party mode for 2-8 players
• Day to night cycle and weather effects

Basically it is the old version with all the online downloadable content included as well as a few minor tweaks to improve gameplay. So, if your thinking about buying this great game, just hold on for a few more weeks and purchase a copy of Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box instead!
